Mircea Geoană: The more we help Ukraine now, the faster peace
President Joe Biden's announcement supporting the plan to train Ukrainian pilots on eF-16 fighter jets is very important because Ukraine needs to be helped with everything it needs. The statement was made by the Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Mircea Geoană, in an interview for Digi24.

"We must say once again that we are now supporting Ukraine with the means it needs to prepare the counteroffensive and change the dynamics on the battlefield. The more we help Ukraine now, the sooner peace comes. Our main goal is to help the Ukrainians, who are in full preparation for the counter-offensive, with the means they need to regain the territory of their own country, not to go to Moscow or beyond other areas", said Mircea Geoană.
We remind you that President Joe Biden accepted, on Friday, during the G7 leaders' meeting, that American specialists train Ukrainian pilots on eF-16 fighter jets. According to a US official, quoted by CNN, as the training takes place in the coming months, the coalition of countries participating in this effort will decide when and who will provide these planes.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Grushko said today that Western countries continue to follow the path of escalation in the Ukrainian conflict, and the Russian Federation will take into account their intention to deliver eF-16 fighter jets to Kiev.
