The NATO Ministerial Meeting begins in Bucharest. The presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Nicu Popescu, at the meeting, argues the support that the Alliance offers to our country for overcoming the crises caused by the war in Ukraine, former Defense Minister Vitalie Marinuța told Radio Moldova.

"The participation of the foreign ministers is nothing but a signal that the Republic of Moldova is not left alone in this struggle and will not be left alone in the future. The fact that we have strategic partners, although we are not members of this organization, will be with us in case the situation worsens even more", declared Vitalie Marinuța.
TRM.MD recalls that Minister Nicu Popescu will participate on Wednesday, together with his counterparts from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia, in a special session dedicated to security in the Black Sea, implicitly the impact of the war in Ukraine on regional security. The day before the meeting of NATO ministers, the Munich Security Conference was held in Bucharest. At the opening of the event, the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, also spoke about the need to support the Republic of Moldova in the face of threats.
