Social guarantees for Moldovans who work legally in Greece. They can benefit from pensions and allowances from this state
Today, January 1, the Agreement in social security between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Greece, signed in Chisinau, on September 8, 2021, entered into force. The agreement specifies the guarantees in the field of social insurance that will benefit migrant workers from both countries, who carry out or have carried out a legal work activity and currently reside in the territory of one of the contracting states, reports tvrmoldova.md.

The document guarantees the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and the citizens of the Republic of Greece the right to an old-age pension, a survivor's pension, a disability pension caused by a general condition, a pension and a disability allowance caused by a work accident or an occupational disease, paid by the state where they worked legally. Thus, the person, in the territory of the state of residence, will benefit from the benefits acquired in the state in which he carried out his activity. Currently, 14 international agreements in the field of social security are implemented in the Republic of Moldova.
