Moldova: AI for Security & Business Growth

Prime Minister Dorin Recean delivered opening remarks at the "Artificial Intelligence & Big Data" Conference in Chisinau today.

He emphasised the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to bolster security and expand opportunities for the nation's business environment. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of harnessing these advancements for the benefit of Moldovan citizens.

"We are already witnessing the deployment of artificial intelligence, for instance, in Ukraine," stated Prime Minister Recean. "The Ukrainians have demonstrably mobilised themselves and are exhibiting remarkable innovation in leveraging artificial intelligence to conduct efficient operations. Artificial intelligence can be a powerful tool for ensuring cybersecurity. My hope for this conference is that it will yield a multitude of practical solutions applicable to our citizens, the business community, and the government," he added.

The International Conference "Artificial Intelligence & Big Data" is currently underway in Chisinau, taking place from April 18-19. The conference aims to foster intensified cross-border cooperation in the realm of innovation and development. It offers participants a valuable platform to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and establish valuable connections. Experts, business leaders, representatives from the education sector, and public authorities from the United States, Germany, Singapore, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, and Poland are all convening at this event.

Over the course of the two-day conference, the discussion panels will delve into topics such as the utilisation of innovations and technologies in healthcare and the integration of Artificial Intelligence within the agricultural sector.
