The solutions regarding the water supply of the Glodeni district were discussed, today, during the meeting of Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița with the representatives of the local public administration in the district. Four cities in the Republic of Moldova - Glodeni, Nisporeni, Ungheni, Fălești - and about 100 communes will benefit from water from Romania, and the works to expand the aqueduct in Iași will be executed based on a recently approved agreement.

At the same time, during the meeting, the development opportunities of the Glodeni district were discussed, as well as the solutions to overcome the most urgent problems faced by the inhabitants of the region. "I mentioned that, in order to increase the responsiveness of the authorities to the needs of the citizens and to boost the cooperation between the local and central public administration, the members of the government team will go to the territory at least twice a month", said Natalia Gavrilița. The prime minister also said that the proceeds from the road use tax will be allocated to local budgets, in the form of general purpose transfers, and this money can also be used to pay the wages of people in the region.
