Several explosives from the World War II, found and neutralized in Stefan Voda

Several explosives from the Second World War period were discovered in the outskirts of Răscăieţii Noi locality, Stefan Voda district. According to a press release from the Ministry of Defense, they were detected by a citizen during agricultural works, and the intervention of military engineers was requested on the spot.

A team from the "Codru" Engineer Battalion identified nine explosives, including a 50 mm caliber launcher bomb, two artillery shells, four warheads, and two rifle grenades. According to the quoted source, all the ammunition was neutralized in maximum security conditions, in a specially arranged place.

Military engineers warn the population not to touch or move the explosive objects discovered and to immediately call 112 to request the intervention of specialists. It is also recommended to mark the place where the explosive was detected. Also, specialists warn people not to dismantle the warheads or other components of the explosive and not to throw it into the fire.
