Mirage 2000 fighter jets landing in Ukraine
France has delivered its first Mirage 2000 fighter jets to Ukraine, the government in Paris announced. The Mirage 2000 is now the second Western-made fighter jet to be integrated into Ukraine’s military, following the F-16.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the delivery, stating that the jets will enhance Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced that the Mirage 2000 jets destined for Ukraine will be equipped with electronic self-defense systems and modified to conduct air-to-ground missions.
The first of these aircraft has already arrived in Ukraine, Lecornu stated, though he did not disclose the total number delivered. In recent months, France has also contributed to training Ukrainian pilots.
This development marks a significant step in France’s military support for Ukraine, reinforcing Kyiv’s aerial capabilities amid ongoing conflict.
