Eight electoral corruption cases in Chișinău, Ialoveni and Cimișlia
Botanica police officers, along with prosecutors, carried out eight searches in Chișinău, Ialoveni, and Cimișlia as part of an electoral corruption investigation involving a 29-year-old man associated with the "Șor" criminal organization. During these searches, law enforcement seized documents referencing large sums of money, a hunting weapon, about 30 cartridges, and a luxury car.
Investigators determined that the man was responsible for converting cryptocurrency into cash, which was then transported from the Transnistrian region.
Additionally, images and conversations obtained from the suspect's mobile phone confirm his involvement in the criminal schemes and serve as evidence in the case file.
Law enforcement officials report that criminal prosecution actions are ongoing.
