Hearings will be held in Parliament in the TUX case
The parliamentary committee on economy, budget, and finance will conduct hearings regarding the scandal surrounding the TUX trading platform, which is said to have caused financial losses for over 50,000 Moldovans. The committee chairman, Radu Marian, stated that these hearings will occur concurrently with the ongoing law enforcement investigation.
"We at the Economy Committee will organize a hearing on this subject as soon as possible and will provide relevant information to the deputies promptly," stated Radu Marian.
This announcement followed the parliamentary majority's rejection of the socialists' request to hear the president of the National Financial Market Commission in plenary session. The opposition also insisted that the Minister of Internal Affairs be called to testify, as law enforcement is investigating former employees of the institution. Investigations revealed that over 50,000 individuals from the Republic of Moldova invested in this platform, resulting in estimated losses exceeding 48 million euros. Many of those lured by false promises have taken out loans to invest.
