President Maia Sandu urges Moldovans to choose local products
President Maia Sandu encourages citizens to support local producers by participating in the "Cumpăr BUN de acasă" (“I Buy GOOD Local Products”) campaign. She emphasizes that choosing local goods strengthens the economy and benefits communities across the nation.
In a Facebook post, the president stated that selecting Moldovan products benefits families nationwide, supports local employment, and bolsters the national economy.
She emphasized the importance of this gesture, particularly during the holiday season, urging the public "to include as many local products as possible in their baskets—both now, on the eve of the holidays, and every day."
The President highlighted the effort behind each local product, stating that "behind each jar of honey, each bottle of wine, and each sweet treat, there is the hard work, care, and passion of our people." According to her, choosing local products is a tangible way to show appreciation for the efforts of farmers and the food industry in the Republic of Moldova.
Through this appeal, Maia Sandu encourages consumers to help strengthen the national economy by consciously selecting products made in the country, thus supporting local businesses.
