Moldova’s Embassy in the US suspends consular services after a fire
The consular services at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the United States were temporarily suspended due to a fire at the diplomatic mission. In a public announcement, the Embassy informed citizens that these services will remain suspended until a new location is identified.
"Following an incident, we would like to inform you about the temporary suspension of consular services at the Embassy. We will soon provide you with the address of the new location where consular services will be offered", reads the institution's press release.
Additionally, the exceptional circumstances have led to the cancellation of the event scheduled for Monday, December 15, which was dedicated to carols and decorating the Christmas tree.
Due to this exceptional situation at the Embassy, we regret to announce the cancellation of today’s event focused on carols and Christmas tree decoration. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding, as stated by the representatives of the diplomatic mission.
The authorities have yet to provide more details regarding the circumstances of the incident or the expected duration of the suspension of consular services.
