A fair dedicated to local producers and holiday gifts is taking place at Moldexpo until December 21, where visitors can find artisanal products and handmade foods while participating in activities to foster a festive Christmas atmosphere.
The Gift Expo-2025 event is currently taking place at Moldexpo, bringing together local producers from various fields and offering a wide range of products for the winter holidays. In addition to sales, the organizers have planned activities for the public, along with an artistic program.
Among the exhibitors are folk craftsmen who create home decorations and personalized Christmas baubles.
"I only make spherical baubles. I offer a diverse selection of velvet, decorations, accessories, feathers, lace, stones, and pearls. Prices for baubles start at 200 lei," one craftsman shared.
Food producers are also part of the fair, presenting homemade bread, cakes, and spreads made from natural ingredients. One bread maker mentioned that some of her products are specially crafted for winter.
"I created a caramel specifically for the winter holidays to pair with artisanal biscuits," she explained. Her offerings include nostalgic treats such as "cherry biscuits" Linzer biscuits, and horseshoe biscuits, as well as two types of bread, priced between 120 and 130 lei.
Another stand features desserts, where visitors can sample and purchase chocolate-covered dried fruits.
"We have over 18 years of experience, and we've been making chocolate-covered fruits for the last five years," the vendor noted. Prices for these treats range from 55 lei to 165 lei for a 750-gram box.
In addition to the commercial offerings, the event features an artistic program performed by children. Visitors report attending the Gift Expo for its affordable prices and to find useful gifts for their loved ones.
