Criuleni urban revitalization project completed with 14 million MDL

Residents of Criuleni now enjoy a renovated riverfront park and a modern pedestrian boulevard. The total value of this infrastructure investment reaches 14.35 million MDL.
The reconstruction of the Mihai Eminescu Boulevard and the city’s riverfront park marks a fresh start for the community. This project was made possible with the support of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Center Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru), through funding from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).
The revitalized area features 2.26 hectares of green spaces and 8,901 square meters of paved, illuminated trails—ideal for walking, running, or cycling. Additionally, the project delivered a multi-sport court for active recreation and over 200 urban furniture units.
"This reconstruction is not just a visual transformation of the urban landscape; it is an investment in quality of life, urban mobility, and social activities, while also boosting the economic appeal of Criuleni," stated representatives from ADR Centru.
In a symbolic gesture of care for the future, officials and the ADR Centru team planted tulip trees, adding a unique charm to the park's environment.
"Investing in public spaces is a direct investment in people’s quality of life. Criuleni is a clear example of how urban revitalization creates more beautiful and safer cities for the community," said Vladimir Bolea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, during the inauguration event this weekend.
According to ADR Centru, out of the total 14.35 million MDL investment, 11.57 million MDL was provided by the FNDRL, while 2.78 million MDL represented the local authorities' contribution.
