Clinical Psychiatric Hospital is undergoing repair works, including energy rehabilitation

The Consolidated Unit for Implementing and Monitoring Energy Projects (UCIPE) has launched a tender to select a company to carry out rehabilitation and energy-efficiency improvements at the Clinical Psychiatric Hospital.
The tender is part of the "Energy Efficiency in the Republic of Moldova" project, which the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development supports.
According to Ruslan Surugiu, the director of UCIPE, this is the first tender for construction work launched under the project. It pertains to the curative block No. 3 and Ward No. 1 for children in the hospital.
The project documentation specifies that the work will include thermal insulation of the buildings, replacement of windows and doors with energy-efficient designs, modernization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, improvement of both interior and exterior lighting, and the installation of a photovoltaic system for utilizing renewable energy.
Through these interventions, the authorities aim to significantly reduce energy consumption and enhance the working conditions for both patients and medical staff, in accordance with European standards for efficiency and comfort.
The procurement procedure is open to all interested economic operators, with no pre-qualification required. The contract will be awarded to the most advantageous offer, in accordance with the guidelines set by the European Investment Bank.
The deadline for submitting offers is January 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Offers must be submitted in person, and their opening will occur publicly at the UCIPE headquarters. As part of this national energy efficiency project, a total of ten medical institutions in the Republic of Moldova will be rehabilitated. This project is being implemented by the Government, through the Ministry of Energy and UCIPE, with the support of European partners.
