Interpol-wanted Kazakh national arrested in Chișinău for fraud

A 34-year-old man from Kazakhstan, who was internationally wanted, has been detained in Chisinau by Moldovan authorities. According to the General Inspectorate for Migration (IGM), the man was wanted by the Interpol Astana National Central Bureau on suspicion of fraud and bank fraud.
On March 5, an arrest was made after employees of the Central Regional Directorate of the IGM conducted special investigations, verification, and control measures in the Chisinau municipality.
The operation received support from personnel of the National Investigation Inspectorate within the General Inspectorate of Police.
The individual was detained for 72 hours and later placed in the isolation ward of the Chisinau City Police Department. Authorities started the extradition process in accordance with legal procedures.
