Another 1,000 applied for funding under the “Green House” program

A thousand people have submitted applications for funding under the second call of the “Green House” program. Call II of the financing product has been closed after reaching the maximum ceiling of applications. The total budget allocated for this call is 200 million lei.
According to the National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED), the call, launched on March 18, 2026, registered 300 applications from the municipality of Chișinău and 700 from other districts of the Republic of Moldova. Project proposals will be reviewed in the order they were submitted, and the first applicants will be notified in about two weeks. The National Center for Sustainable Energy draws attention to the fact that the evaluation process is continuous, and applicants will be informed gradually about the results, as the files are analyzed. People who have submitted funding applications are encouraged to follow the notifications regarding the next steps.
Interaction with beneficiaries will take place through the platform, which will send notifications, including via the email address in the MPass system.
“Beneficiaries will start the actual works only after the approval of the projects and the signing of the contract with CNED. Only service providers listed on the FEERM platform can carry out the energy renovation works. The beneficiary will independently choose the service company from these lists, depending on the desired works,” CNED underlined.
Financial support will be granted in a single tranche, after the completion of all works, based on the funding request which will include all supporting documents provided for in the operational manual and the financing contract. Those interested can find more information on feerm.md.
The “Casa Verde” program was launched in July 2025, and in the first call 745 funding applications were registered. Of these, 525 were approved and many beneficiaries have already signed contracts for energy efficiency works.
According to CNED, in the 2026 edition of the “Green House” program, the eligibility criteria were expanded to also allow families without children to apply. Eligible are households that own individually registered homes, without outstanding tax debts and that have not previously benefited from CNED grants. Homes with the status of temporary buildings, holiday homes, or properties with occasional use are not eligible.
Financed works include thermal insulation of walls, roof, and basement; replacement of exterior joinery with energy-efficient ones; installation of biomass boilers, heat pumps or solar collectors; installation of ventilation systems with heat recovery; charging stations for electric cars; photovoltaic panels with storage batteries (after thermal insulation).
Priority will be given to works that directly reduce energy consumption, with photovoltaic panels being eligible only after thermal insulation and window replacement.
