One dead, one injured after car hits truck in Soroca district
A foreign national died and a woman was seriously injured following a head-on collision on Monday morning near the village of Alexandru cel Bun.
The accident occurred at approximately 06:00 local time. According to preliminary police findings, a car driven by a 39-year-old foreign citizen veered into the oncoming lane, striking a truck.
The truck was operated by a 45-year-old man from the Soroca district.
The driver of the car died at the scene. His female passenger sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.
