US President delays Iran infrastructure attacks by 10 days

President Donald Trump announced late Thursday a 10-day extension of the current suspension of military strikes against Iran’s energy infrastructure.
The moratorium, which was initially set for five days earlier this week, will now remain in effect until Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated the decision followed a specific request from the Iranian government. He noted that the extension serves as a formal warning regarding the temporary halt in plans to target power facilities.
"Discussions are ongoing and, despite false reporting from the media and other parties, they are going very well," the President added.
The move comes as the two nations continue high-stakes negotiations. The White House has not yet provided further details on the specific conditions of the ongoing talks.
