Moldovans stranded in Bologna: unsure they’ll reach home for Easter

More than 100 Moldovans are stranded at Bologna Airport and are uncertain whether they will be able to return to their home country in time to celebrate Easter with friends and family on Sunday, April 12. Passengers reported the issue on social media, stating that they were scheduled to depart on Friday afternoon.
One of the passengers on the flight told Moldova 1 TV that the airline initially informed them that their flight had been postponed due to a security alert reported yesterday at Eugen Doga International Airport in Chisinau.
The alert turned out to be false, yet the plane never took off.
As a result, the passengers spent the night at the airport and are now exhausted.
Airline representatives later communicated that the flight would depart on Sunday at 3:00 AM.
Moldova 1 TV journalists attempted to reach representatives of the flight operator but were unsuccessful.
The airline had previously announced that it needed to optimize its flight schedule because of the global fuel crisis. However, it remains unclear what specifically caused the postponement of the Bologna-Chisinau flight.
