Over 80,000 home visits and hundreds of thousands of consultations funded by insurance in 2025

In 2025, over 138 million lei was allocated for community and home healthcare. This funding supported tens of thousands of visits and consultations, including services for individuals with reduced mobility and children. According to the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM), funding increased compared to the previous year, allowing the expansion of mental health services and those aimed at young people.

Last year, approximately 80,000 home care visits were provided, which is over 10,000 more than in 2024. A total of 24.6 million lei was allocated for these services, representing an increase of four million lei compared to the previous year. These services are designed for insured individuals with reduced mobility or physical dependence who are unable to travel to medical institutions.

An essential aspect of community services is mental health. Over 63 million lei from AOAM funds were allocated for around 336,000 consultations, an increase of 7.5 million lei compared to the previous year. Approximately 17% of these services were provided to children and adolescents. The assistance offered includes assessment and prevention, early detection, psychosocial rehabilitation, and support for patients' social and family integration.

Additionally, youth-friendly health centers conducted over 100,000 consultations and provided more than 13,000 mobile services. For these initiatives, CNAM allocated over 48 million lei, five million more than in 2024.

In total, 128 home health care service providers, 40 community mental health service providers, and 41 youth-friendly health service providers were contracted in 2025.
