Passengers evacuated after double bomb scare at Chișinău Airport

Two bomb threats were reported overnight at the "Eugen Doga" International Airport in Chisinau. Both threats were found to be false, and the airport's operations have returned to normal, according to the General Inspectorate of Border Police.

Authorities reported that the first alert was received shortly after midnight at 00:31, followed by a second alert this morning at 04:33. In both instances, border guards and specialized services responded according to security protocols, leading to the evacuation of passengers and airport employees.

After thorough inspections of the airport, law enforcement officers found no suspicious or explosive items. It was concluded that both alerts were false alarms.

Representatives from the IGPF confirmed that the situation was handled safely and without incident.

Currently, "Eugen Doga" Airport is operating normally, with no disruptions to its activities.
