The diagnosis that inspired his future

For some, childhood involves more than just games and fun; it also encompasses hard work, discipline, and a passion for learning. David Bordan, a fourth-grade student at the "Elena Alistar" Lyceum of Arts, plays the trumpet and the piano, practices dance, and demonstrates that talent and perseverance go hand in hand.

In David's case, studying wind instruments is not only a form of artistic expression but also a genuine therapeutic practice. His mother enrolled him in trumpet lessons after doctors diagnosed him with bronchial asthma, leading him to discover his passion for music.

"These activities really help me. Playing the trumpet and piano gives me courage, and dancing makes me stronger. When you go on stage at competitions, a lot of people are watching you," David shared.

In addition to music, David is also an avid reader. By the age of ten, he had read over 30 books.

"I enjoy reading in English, and I think it's important to know the language, especially if you want to travel to other countries," he noted.

David proudly displays his trophies, including one from the "Linguistic Kangaroo in English" competition, where he received a distinction in 2023. His mother supports him every step of the way.

"I always encourage him and tell him that the most important thing is not winning prizes, but participating and being involved," says Alina Bordan, David's mother.

Three times a week, David attends rehearsals. On the dance floor, he impresses with his dynamism and elegance alongside his partner.

"David and Anastasia are one of the pairs we have high expectations for in the competitions where they will represent the dance club," says coach Vitalina Țaranu.

Extracurricular activities play a crucial role in the harmonious development of children. A talent nurtured from a young age can transform into a successful career.
