700 devices boost digital learning in 140 schools

The Republic of Moldova's education system is undergoing digital transformation. With support from authorities and development partners, 140 educational institutions have received 700 interactive boards and computers.
The project was carried out from 2022 to 2026 by UNICEF in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research, receiving financial support from the Global Partnership for Education.
These investments allow for more interactive lessons, support teachers, and create a more appealing learning environment that better addresses students' needs.
Additionally, the integration of digital technologies provides students with relevant learning opportunities and helps them develop essential skills in an increasingly connected world.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), as part of the “Digital Innovations of the Education System of the Republic of Moldova” program, 195 schools now have access to digital educational resources.
Furthermore, 10 digital textbooks are available on EduResurse.md platform, and nearly 3,000 teachers have been trained to incorporate digital resources into their teaching processes.
The program's achievements also include providing assistive technologies to 95 schools and engaging over 10,000 teachers in the DigiProf program.
Overall, the initiatives undertaken in this project have advanced digital education in schools, supporting the sustainable transformation of the education system in the Republic of Moldova.
