New platform monitors electoral corruption cases

High-profile cases that go to court often fade from public memory, increasing the risk that facts will be concealed and ultimately leading to delayed justice or the acquittal of suspects. Starting today, cases related to electoral corruption can be monitored through a new platform at anticoruptie.crjm.org, which has been launched by the Legal Resources Center of Moldova (CRJM).
The electoral corruption orchestrated by Ilan Shor's networks during the 2024 and 2025 elections has led to the creation of a new platform to provide transparency in investigations into voter corruption.
"We at the CRJM aimed to discover what happens after individuals are criminally investigated, where the files are located, whether or not any sanctions are applied, and what becomes of those who committed these acts. We want to know how many agree to cooperate with the investigation and how many admit their guilt. All of this information can be tracked on the anticorupţie.crjm.org platform," declared Ilie Chirtoacă, the president of CRJM.
It is important to note that this platform is not an official database, such as instante.justice.md or the court decisions portal.
"All the information presented here has been processed by my legal colleagues and verified by experts with specialised skills and experience in this field," stated Chirtoacă.
Anticoruptie.crjm.org provides users with access to updated data on the number of cases in court, including the number of convictions, types of punishments, fines imposed, and confiscations.
Users can filter the files by number, judge's name, articles, defendant's name, or lawyer's name.
"This tool offers a comprehensive overview of all electoral corruption cases, whether they result in a conviction, acquittal, or are currently pending at the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court," mentioned Ilie Chirtoacă.
The portal also allows users to subscribe to updates on specific cases they wish to monitor from beginning to end.
"If you are interested in the progress of a particular case or individual, you can enter your email address to subscribe. You will receive notifications via email whenever there is news about the case," said the CRJM director.
Electoral corruption encompasses illegal or unethical actions aimed at influencing election outcomes, such as vote-buying, bribing voters, the abusive use of administrative resources, organized transportation to polling stations, falsifying electoral results, and exerting pressure on voters or candidates.
