Six dead as massive Russian drone wave strikes Ukrainian cities
Russian strikes killed six civilians and injured at least 80 others across Ukraine over the past 24 hours. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 109 out of 133 attack drones launched by Russia overnight.
More than 20 drones struck 19 separate locations, while falling debris caused damage in three additional areas, local authorities reported.
In Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, Russian drones struck a warehouse owned by Rozetka, Ukraine's leading online retailer. One employee was killed and seven others were injured in the strike, according to company co-founder Iryna Chechotkina.
In the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a strike on a passenger bus near Nikopol injured eight people, including a 16-year-old boy. Attacks elsewhere in the region killed one person and wounded 11 others throughout the day.
Five people sustained injuries in the Mykolaiv Oblast as Russian drones targeted critical port and transport infrastructure.
In Chernihiv Oblast, a driver was wounded after a Russian FPV drone attacked a mail delivery truck near Novhorod-Siverskyi.
Russian forces also targeted the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, killing one man and injuring another.
In Kharkiv, Russian strikes injured ten people, including three children.
Local authorities in Sumy Oblast reported eight casualties, including a 12-year-old boy, following shelling and drone strikes.
Two civilians were killed in Druzhkivka, Donetsk Oblast.
In Kherson Oblast, Russian forces targeted 35 settlements, including the regional capital. The attacks left one person dead and 31 injured, among them three children.
