A 27-year-old Moldovan national died late Tuesday in a violent motorcycle collision in Warsaw, Polish authorities confirmed. Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that its embassy in Poland is in direct contact with local officials to provide all necessary consular assistance.

The crash occurred at approximately 11:19 PM on Wirażowa Street, located near the city’s airport and directly opposite a Ferrari dealership. According to Polish news outlet fakt.pl, two motorcycles collided at high speed, resulting in the immediate death of the Moldovan rider.

A 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen, who was operating a Suzuki motorcycle, sustained severe injuries in the crash and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The victim was riding a Triumph motorcycle, which was thrown dozens of meters down the road due to the violence of the impact.

Witnesses at the scene indicated that one of the motorcyclists was performing a wheelie just moments before the collision took place. Local residents noted that this specific stretch of Wirażowa Street is a well-known gathering point for speed enthusiasts and has been the site of several serious accidents in recent years.

Warsaw police have launched a formal investigation to determine the exact circumstances and cause of the fatal crash.
