A Christmas fair featuring local producers, importers, and distributors from various industries will be held on December 17 at the Moldexpo International Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Moldova-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event will offer shoppers a chance to find holiday gifts and special deals, while providing businesses with an opportunity to reach new customers.

Boris Foca, President of the Republic of Moldova-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, states that December is one of the most significant commercial periods of the year—a time that merchants can leverage to the fullest.

"People buy more; they prepare for holiday meals, purchase gifts, renovate their homes, replace household appliances, invest in products for their families, and look for great deals," Foca said during a press conference on November 6.

The Christmas Fair is not a traditional exhibition where companies participate merely to showcase their offerings and meet potential customers. Instead, merchants come to the fair to sell, providing attractive prices for shoppers.

"We are here to clear out stock—to turn available merchandise into cash. Every company has products in inventory—items left over from previous collections, as well as machinery and equipment that need to reach the buyer. Sometimes, these products take up warehouse space and tie up a company's capital. Rather than waiting another month, two, or three to sell them, we offer companies the opportunity to gather in one single location," noted the President of the Republic of Moldova-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event will bring together a wide range of exhibitors and products from various sectors, including food and beverages, automotive and mobility, agriculture, construction, technology, and home goods and décor.

“There will be a section featuring cars at special prices, bicycles, and electric vehicles, as well as an agriculture area showcasing tractors, farm machinery, drones, and equipment. Visitors will also find construction materials, phones, vacuum cleaners, clothing, footwear, bags, accessories, jewellery, gifts, and festive products. Tourism services and travel agencies will also be represented”, the fair organisers announced.

The Christmas Fair will take place on December 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Moldexpo, Pavilion No. 2.
