Serbian government decrees three days of national mourning after the armed attack on a school in Belgrade
Eight children and a security guard were killed by a student who opened fire on Wednesday morning in an elementary school in the Serbian capital, Belgrade. Six other children and a teacher were injured. The police arrested the suspect - a 14-year-old student who used his father's gun, BBC reports.

According to the police, the young man planned the attack in detail. Serbian Education Minister Branko Ruzic said it was hard to imagine what the children and teachers had gone through.
The government decided to declare a three-day period of mourning, throughout the territory of Serbia, starting on Friday, May 5, until May 7.
