Drone strikes hit Russian Wildberries warehouses, leaving seven dead

Ukrainian forces launched a massive drone operation overnight against the Moscow and Tambov regions, heavily damaging critical logistical hubs, according to local reports and international monitoring groups.
The strikes caused a large-scale fire at a major distribution center owned by Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, located in Elektrostal, approximately 50 kilometers east of the Kremlin.
Logistics infrastructure targeted
A synchronized attack also struck another Wildberries warehouse in Kotovsk, located in the Tambov region.
Industry analysts note that these operations signal a strategic shift by Kyiv toward disrupting Russia's domestic commercial supply chains and e-commerce infrastructure.
Casualties reported in overnight raids
The strikes resulted in at least seven fatalities among warehouse employees working the night shift, according to Tambov Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov.
Preliminary data indicates that an additional 24 people sustained injuries during the attacks.
Defense response and scale
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that Russian air defenses intercepted 64 drones on their approach to the capital.
In total, Russian military sources claim that more than 370 Ukrainian drones were deployed across the targeted regions during the overnight operations.
